Mommy and Me Swim Class

Today was our second day of swim class for Greyson. I first looked into classes after reading my friend's blog thebusybodies.blogspot.com where she shared the idea. She has some awesome ideas to do with your kids, so check it out for yourself and see if you find anything useful. Adam was a little skeptical of spending the money on a class for a 10.5 month old, but we decided to do it. It is a two week class that meets Monday through Thursday. I almost went with a private gym, but then we called the City Aqautic Center and found a cheaper price. Later on it might be beneficial to pay more for better classes, but right now this works for us. Check around the community if you are interested in enrolling your kids. There is more out there than we realize some times.

Our friend and her baby joined us in signing up, so bonding time here we come! Greyson loves bath time and he did love the ocean so we figured he would enjoy the swimming pool. Our first day he kicked around at first, but after that he was a little frozen icicle. His lips were blue and his teeth were chattering. So we took a little break and got warm and then joined the group again. Today we did have a blue lip and some teeth chattering, but he was smiling and enjoying the exercises a lot more!

Adam came and watched our little guy swim. He came in handy as our personal photographer too! I am grateful to have such a supportive husband who wants to come to class on his lunch break. I don't know that we will learn anything life changing in this class, but we are enjoying getting out of the house and getting him comfortable with water.

  1. All my kids have done a session of Mommy-n-me swim lessons. Such a great idea! Looks like he liked it.
